Brianne Lay, M.A., CCC-SLP
Brianne (Bri) founded Denver Speech and Language in 2010. She spent five years with D.L. Teter and Associates, a private practice specializing in hearing and speech, and was excited for the opportunity to focus solely on her passion for speech and language therapy. She received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Colorado, and a Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Northern Colorado. Ms. Lay maintains a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and a license to practice in the state of Colorado. She previously served on the board of directors for the Colorado Speech-Language and Hearing Association (CSHA). Prior to working in private practice, Ms. Lay worked in a severe needs pre-school classroom treating children with impairments such as Autism and Fragile X Syndrome. She also spent time working in a rehabilitation center focusing on adult cognitive therapy. In 2009, Ms. Lay became a certified Pet Partner with The Delta Society and is trained to use a therapy dog to assist with meeting therapy goals. Ms. Lay’s professional areas of specialty include neurologically based speech and language disorders with patients of all ages, tongue thrust, vocal cord dysfunction, and voice disorders.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling, photography, and spending time with her friends, family and her dogs Mabel and Edie.

Krysta Riley, M.S., CCC-SLP
Krysta received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Abilene Christian University in Texas, and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Idaho State University. Krysta maintains a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in the state of Colorado.
Krysta has experience providing therapy in the areas of pediatric speech, language, feeding, oral-motor skills, cognitive skills, apraxia, and literacy in the home and school environment. She loves working with all ages, and works hard to make therapy family-oriented, uniquely effective for each individual, and most importantly, fun.
In her free time, you can find Krysta rooting loudly for the Colorado Avalanche, playing soccer, fishing, camping, hiking, skiing, and enjoying all of the above with her dogs and everyone she loves.

Caroline Riding, M.S., CCC-SLP
Caroline received a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and a Master Speech-Language Pathology from Sanford University in Birmingham, AL. She maintains a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and is licensed to practice in the state of Colorado.
Caroline previously worked in home health and has experience with both children and adults. Her professional interests include working with individuals on the autism spectrum, cognitive dysfunction, and voice disorders. She has certification in LSVT LOUD, a voice/speech treatment program for adults and children with motor speech disorders, with a specialty in Parkinson disease. She hopes to establish strong relationships with not only her patients, but their families as well. Caroline advocates for her clients and is constantly creating new “functional” therapy tasks. Caroline is thrilled to be a part of the Denver Speech and Language team and further hone her skills as a speech language pathologist.
In her free time, Caroline enjoys cooking, camping, and playing with her Great Dane.

Lauren Plant, M.A., CCC-SLP
Lauren received a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI, and a Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. She hold her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and is licensed to practice in the state of Colorado.
Lauren had a variety of prior experiences in the field before moving to the Denver area, including experience in elementary school, pediatric multidisciplinary summer camp, aphasia clinic, and hospital settings. Lauren is excited to continue fostering her clinical skills as a speech language pathologist and collaborate as part of the Denver SLP team. Her professional interests include working with individuals with language, articulation, and cognitive disorders. Additionally, she is LSVT LOUD certified and enjoys working on voice, specifically with individuals with Parkinson’s disease. She enjoys having the opportunity to work with clientele of all ages, and consistently works toward establishing strong, supportive relationship with patients and their families. She believes in the value of a growth mindset and works toward encouraging and supporting the functional application of learned skills in the daily activities of her patients.
Lauren enjoys hiking, swimming, and camping in her free time. She is always looking for trail recommendations and loves to hear about the beautiful places that her patients adventure.

Erin McGrady, M.S., CCC-SLP
Erin received her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts at Rider University in New Jersey. After college, Erin pursued a future in speech language pathology. While performing her graduate studies at Monmouth University, Erin was the inaugural president for the MU National Student Speech Language Hearing Association. Erin received her Master’s of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Monmouth University in NJ. Erin maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in the states of New Jersey and Colorado.
Erin enjoys working with all ages across the lifespan but primarily performing rehabilitation with adults. Erin has experience across many adult settings including skilled nursing facilities, subacute rehabilitation, home health care, acute hospital care, outpatient, and inpatient rehabilitation. Erin is certified in SPEAK OUT! for patients with Parkinson’s disease, as well as McNeill Dysphagia Therapy (MDTP) & NMES/VitalStim for swallowing treatments. Erin believes all therapy should be FUNctional: fun and functional individualized therapy makes for great progress!
In her free time, you can find Erin trying new restaurants and activities in her new home of Colorado. Erin also enjoys attending concerts, cheering on the NY Giants, traveling to new cities, and spending time with her fat cat.
